Main Street is the oldest stretch of San Mateo County's oldest town: a bridge from 1900, a general store from 1873, a bakery still using its original brick ovens, and the parade route for the Pumpkin Festival.

The bridge over Pilarcitos Creek at the north end of Main Street was built in 1900. It was the first steel-reinforced concrete bridge in San Mateo County, and it was reinforced with used San Francisco cable-car cables. (Visit Half Moon Bay)
Giuseppe Boitano's general store and saloon opened at 527 Main Street in 1873 and is the town's oldest place of continuous retail business. Half Moon Bay Bakery was founded around 1929 and still bakes in its original brick ovens. (Visit Half Moon Bay)
